Western music fans have long recognized O’Brien as having either played on or produced five Wrangler Award winning recordings by such noted artists as Don Edwards, Riders in the Sky, Red Steagall, John McEuen and Buck Ramsey. All told, Richard’s guitar work has been featured on over 150 recordings.
Don Edwards says “One of the most brilliant and downright enjoyable instrumental recordings of this century.” With the exception of one cut, Seasons, Roads, & Faces is an instrumental release featuring not only O’Brien’s virtuosity, but also the talents of long time friends from the Texas music scene.
